On 23 May 2018, the University was visited by a delegation of twenty three American cadets led by commanding officer Col. Buettner. The Americans came to visit our university in connection with the CULP programme and our place was also another stop in their three-week journey throughout Poland.

Officer cadets from the General Tadeusz Kościuszko Military University of Land Forces (AWL) under the leadership of Lt. Col. Marcin Bielewicz welcomed the guests and then moved on to give them an insight into the structure of the University and the course of studies for its officer cadets. After a light meal, the delegation set out to tour around the university’s educational and sporting facilities. The visiting cadets had the chance to see, for example, an educational facility, the Tradition Hall, the ŚNIEŻNIK instruction and training system, VBS, and the sports hall. As the guests visited the Boxing Room, our Close-Contact Combat Section presented their abilities. By tradition, the officer cadets and guests, together with the commanding officers, took a photo next to the statue of the University’s patron, General Tadeusz Kościuszko, as a keepsake of the visit.

The American cadets spent the remainder of the time at our University on exchanging experience with our officer cadets and comparing military training systems in the two forces.
