In March 2018 the Leadership and Personnel Management Department of the Military University of Land Forces hosted Major William B. O’Neal, a lecturer at the University of North Georgia, during his scientific internship.

The US Army officer was welcomed at AWL as part of the thriving cooperation between the universities, which was inaugurated by signing a cooperation agreement in 2016 by Rector Commandant of AWL Brigadier General Dariusz Skorupka, DSc, Eng., and Bonita Jacobs, President of UNG.

Major O’Neal, during his stay at the University, conducted classes with cadets and civilian students. As a specialist in leadership, he taught students the principles of team building, communication, stress management and motivation. He also shared his knowledge and practical experience in basic leadership which he has obtained while in service for the US Army, including during combat operations worldwide, with members of the Irregular Operations Section.

His stay at the Military University of Land Forces was also an opportunity to get to know the University’s education system as well as the culture and historic buildings in Wrocław and Lower Silesia.
