Rector Commandant Brigadier General Dariusz Skorupka, DSc, Eng., met with the delegation of American soldiers participating in the fourth edition of the CULP programme (Cultural Understanding and Language Proficiency).

The programme is part of a bigger military project, the so-called Military to Military. Poland has participated in it since 1992. American soldiers have an opportunity to get to know Poland and take part in training and exercises. This year, CULP includes two stages: cultural and training stage. Under the first one, they will visit Wrocław, Tomaszów Mazowiecki, including the 1st battalion of Air Cavalry of the 25th Air Cavalry Brigade, Międzyrzecz with one of the largest examples of 20th-century military architecture, the Międzyrzecz Fortification Region, and the 17th Wielkopolska Mechanised Brigade. After sightseeing in Kraków, American cadets visited the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum.

Currently they are carrying out the second stage of their stay, within which they were incorporated into the International Military Leadership Course. They are participating in training alongside soldiers from Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Italy, Romania and Poland. They will also partake in the gala of promoting LFMA alumni to their first officer rank. The project running from 18 June to 9 July 2017 is organised by the LFMA Management Faculty.
