Rector Commandant Brigadier General Dariusz Skorupka, DSc, Eng., led the delegation of the Military University of Land Forces, which on 19-23 June 2018 participated in the International Military Academic Forum iMAF 2017 in the Czech Republic.

This is already the fifth edition of the conference devoted to military education in Europe. This year’s conference focused on the internationalisation of cadet education curricula and its impact on the training of future officers. The meeting also aimed at developing joint model solutions to facilitate the standardisation of national systems of training officer candidates and sharing best practices.

The dynamically developing international cooperation at LFMA includes collaboration with representatives of military universities in Europe and around the world. This event constituted an opportunity to tighten cooperation with current partners and contributed to establishing new relations.

At the conference, representatives of LFMA delivered the following presentations:

  • “Internationalisation of officer education at AWL” by Lieutenant Colonel Marcin Bielewicz, Vice-Dean for Military Affairs;
  • “Report on Strategic Partnership Project Implementation (development and testing of international semester)” by Anna Zamiar-Ziółkowska, MA, Head of the Career and International Programmes Office.

In addition, Major Piotr Pietrakowski moderated the working group on developing recommendations in the field of activities facilitating the internationalisation of cadet education curricula.
