On 28.05-02.06.2017, LFMA delegation, led by Rector Commandant Brigadier General Dariusz Skorupka, DSc, Eng., participated in the 5th International Symposium on the Development of Military Academies (ISoDoMA) organised by the Royal Military College Saint-Jean.

Participants in this largest discussion forum, representatives of more than 30 institutions from 22 countries, discussed the officer training process. The meeting facilitated an exchange of views on cadet education systems and the associated challenges. Representatives of foreign universities displayed particular interest in the impact of current threats and challenges to the world order and security on the shape and content of education curricula for future commanders.

The Symposium is organised in a two-year cycle and brings together representatives of institutions engaged in the education and training of officers. It was organised for the first time in 2007 on the initiative of the Korea Military Academy.

The Symposium editions are organised by the partner countries under the substantive direction of its initiator.

The cooperation established during the meeting will primarily focus on improving the attractiveness of military studies for cadets and the scientific development of teaching staff.
