This is another edition of the student exchange program with the American University of North Georgia in Dahlonega (UNG).

On 13 January this year, two AWL cadets: Sergeant Cadet Piotr Jastrowicz and Sergeant Cadet Radosław Turczyński began the summer semester as part of the academic exchange, implemented on the basis of the reciprocity program, at the UNG. The project is a consequence of a cooperation agreement between the Military Academy of Land Forces and the University of North Georgia signed in June 2016, by the Rector-Commander, Brig. Gen. Dariusz SKORUPKA, DSc, Eng.

The cadets were assigned to two different companies: Alfa and Bravo, and they began to learn about the specifics of the university by participating in the initiation process of newly recruited cadets - called the Frog Week. Currently, they actively participate in several projects implemented by UNG, including Leadership Course, fitness march, and exercises at the elite Training Center of the Rangers special unit. Students will be included in the activities of the elite Columbus section, the UNG's pride, and will have a chance to show off thier skills by aiding the university's volleyball team.

The cadets still have four months of demanding training ahead of them and will have to continue to work on improving their individual skills. The student exchange programme, entering its fourth year now, allows us to implement more and more modern and proven training standards at our Academy.

The standards of training culture and standards for developing leadership qualities that the cadets aquire in partnered universites are also important. This gives them an uninstitutionalised influence on the increase in awareness and involvement of colleagues from individual teams and platoons as well as the whole company.

The recruitment process of cadets was coordinated by the Career Office and AWL's Erasmus Program, the mobility was carried out thanks to the funds from the budget of the Erasmus + Program.
