The Military University of Land Forces is preparing to send its first cadets within the international exchange with the Korea Military Academy in Seoul.

The cooperation established between the Korea Military Academy (KMA) and the Military University of Land Forces is entering a new phase. After the visit to AWL of Superintendent Lieutenant General Wantae Kim, accompanied by Lieutenant Colonel Hong Soon Shin, Defence Attaché of the Republic of Korea, and the return visit of AWL Rector Commandant Brigadier General Dariusz Skorupka, DSc, Eng. to the Academy in Seoul, the implementation of joint educational and scientific projects has accelerated, the time has come for AWL and Korean cadets to participate in exchange programmes and gain new experience.

This is the result of arrangements made during joint meetings, at which the parties discussed bilateral cooperation and student and academic staff exchange possibilities. Differences in education and training in both universities were also discussed. Another topic revolved around refresher and specialist courses organised at AWL and the possible participation of Korean cadets. The importance of cooperation was highlighted due to cultural differences and the specificity of service associated with the constant threat posed by North Korea.

For the AWL Rector Commandant, the visit to KMA was also an excellent opportunity to get to know its history, structure, major tasks and the teaching and training facilities, including the ballistic laboratory encompassed within its structure, which deserved special attention from the training point of view.
