Everyone now faces the great test of social responsibility.  Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, police, army and many other professions, each day take the most difficult test in their lives. Nevertheless, the Honorary Blood Donors' support is invaluable. Blood is very much needed these days - as it is stated on the National Blood Centre website.

The community of the Military University of Land Forces decided to respond to the appeal related to the shortage of blood banks and the consequences of pandemic that affected the world.

On 19 March 2020, in cooperation with the Regional Centre of Blood Donation and Treatment in Wroclaw, blood donation campaign was carried out at  AWL.

Many eager blood donors, mainly cadets, volunteered to participate in the campaign. The Rector Commandant,  Brig. Gen DSc  Eng. Dariusz Skorupka, taking a seat in a specialist blood bank bus, also set an example for all those who have not been affected by the pandemic to share blood - the precious and irreplaceable gift of life.

The Academy together with the Regional Centre of Blood Donation and Treatment has appealed to all healthy people who do not present health contraindications to report to the nearest centre of blood donation.

The Polish Red Cross Club of Honorary Blood Donors operating at the AWL is the principal organiser of the blood donation campaign in the Lower Silesia Voivodship.
