The Implementation Group meeting in Brussels

Taking an opportunity of the Implementation Group meeting in Brussels on 19-20 February, the members of IMLA Project Coordination Team from Greece, Poland and Portugal met to discuss progress of Project activities and upcoming one-week mobility of the test phase.

The 9th of November was the second day of the Multiplier Event dedicated to Strategic Partnership Project “International Military Leadership Academy” organized by Hellenic Army Academy.

The 1st Multiplier Event dedicated to Strategic Partnership Project has begun on the 8th of November 2018.

In IMLA Project, HAA was tasked with elaborating a Module/ Course on ‘’Crisis Management’’ within the broader framework of ‘’Military Leadership’’, main theme of this Project. Crisis, here, is defined as a major unpredictable event that threatens to harm Armed Forces, as an organization, while, crisis leadership is applied when “a situation that threatens high priority goals, suddenly occurs with little or no response time available”.

The Hellenic Army Academy kindly invites representatives of your Institution to participate in the First Multiplier Event, in the frame of the Strategic Partnership Programme Project, “International Military Leadership Academy” (IMLA), which will be held on 8th – 9th October 2018 in Athens.

Marta Nowakowska from Military University of Land Forces from Poland wrote down her impressions for us.

Between 10 and 14 September 2018 the delegation from the General Tadeusz Kościuszko Military University of Land Forces (MULF) – Aneta Kazanecka, PhD from the Faculty of Security Studies and Anna Dorobisz, PhD student from the Faculty of Management - took part in a weekly intensive course organized by Hellenic Army Academy in Greece.

The inventive character of the project IMLA is based on the situation that, despite the growing importance of defense and security issues within the EU’s policy, there are still too few initiatives that support and promote common education and an international exchange of military students.

The Intensive Course is the main part of the Programme of the International Military Leadership Academy. Approximately 48 cadets, selected by each participating institution, will take part in this 86-hour Intensive Course. The course addresses the leadership competencies of young officers in the European Union countries. It intends to cover common knowledge, skills and competencies as part of young officer professional education.
